How do they do it?

I haven't posted to my blog in over 2 mths. Whine alert: I don't know how to ask this without sounding whiny...so here is my whine. HOW DO YOU DO IT??? You bloggers out there that have such interesting, humorous blogs. Just how do you do it? Is there anyone out there that works full time outside the home, is raising happy children, manages a household, has a happy hubby...knits regularly AND keeps an interesting, inspiring blog? I know you're out there. Please send me your secrets. I'm desperate. But then again...if you're superhuman, please don't add to my guilt.

It has been a rough year. Lost a job that I loved (included a friend that didn't turn out to be a friend after all). Started a new job that I'm starting to love. Gained more than a few pounds that I despise. MIL had a stroke. Ok, that was actually last fall, but it seems like this year. Parents moved. Love having them close, but it's been hard on them moving from spacious countryside to cramped suburb. Hubby has been way stressed at work. Lost my desire to knit...ack! There's more, but can't stand to bare it all. I also realize that there is much to be greatful for...many blessings. So, here's to all the wonderful bloggers out there and to all those wannabe wonderful bloggers like me. Thank you to all my friends and family...your love sustains me :)

$7 Sweater

I've been searching for a cute fitted t-shirt pattern, and I couldn't find one that just "did" it for me. Well, wouldn't you know it, knitty.com came through for me. The pattern is the Mesilla and it is super easy...knit in the round from the top down!!! A dream come true. I call it my $7 sweater because I bought a cone of Peaches and Cream from Walmart and decided to use it for this pattern. Looks like one cone will be enough. Notice the funky colorway at the waistline...oh well....funky is good right :) I'm working on a sleeve, still have the other and the neck to do. If I end up really liking the fit, I'll splurge for something a bit more expensive than Peaches and Cream :)

4th Grade Awards

Couldn't be prouder :) Jacob got the citizenship award for the second year in a row. He also received Principal's Honor Roll, two reading awards, and a sportsmanship award in PE. Here he is with his two best friends in the world. (Yes, Braden has two parents that are 6' and above!)

Adoring Jen Jen

My ever constant companion :) Can't even blog without her. Just loves hers.

Baby Knitting...

I have a new boss who has a new baby girl. I couldn't resist this soft yummy pale pink yarn for a blanket and hat. Not too practical I know, but it's just so yummy.

Do I Really Have a 14 Year Old????

Oh my gosh, I think I do. I am so blessed.

Fun times...

at a track meet. Four best friends. One great day. Great memories. Bad sunburns :)

Award Night

Sorry about the terrible picture. Someday I'll have a great camera :)

This is my dd accepting her awards for honor society, president's award, 8th grade math, and top 5% score in ACT testing. Can you say proud momma!

Easter Brunch

Here we are after brunch at the Western Heritage Museum with my husband's family.

Pretty Eggs

You're never too old to dye easter eggs :)

Finally Blooms...

on my dogwood tree. I've had it three years and in the past it's only produced 1-2 blooms each spring. Not this year!!! :)
